History
Fiber Foods started out under the name,
"The Business Lab" was founded in 2019 by Inez van Oord and Ineke Aquarius in Kampala with the support of the Netherlands Embassy. We aimed to create a scalable, gender-friendly value chain with the market. We did so in co-creation with our supplying and processing partners.

The first dried jackfruit product was developed under the technical guidance of Team Tastemakers.
This led in 2021 to the establishment of Fiber Foods in the Netherlands, which introduced this African innovation to the Dutch market under the name PrimeJack.
